Oh My God! director is breathing a sigh of relief. His upcoming film All is Well is back on track.
Supriya Pathak will play Abhishek Bachchan's mother which was earlier essayed by Smriti Iraani.
Shukla waited six months for the HRD Minister to take time off from her her busy schedule. SpotboyE.com has it that Iraani tried her best to report back on the film's set- but failed.
A source close to the film said, "We couldn't have terminated Smriti's character. She had a very integral part. We could have only brought her back or replaced her."
Tanvi Azmi was also in the running for Iraani's role but Supriya edged her out.
Supriya starts shooting in Mumbai, later this month.
Last heard, Iraani has offered to return her remuneration which she received for this film to T-Series who is producing the film.
All is Well stars Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thotukmal and Rishi Kapoor.
